Fashion Forward Looks for 2015

Fashion Forward Looks for 2015

All the fashion magazines have their looks for the new year. Some are retreads from the runways, some come from the fashion bloggers, others are continuations from past decades but you’ll need to shift through them and adapt them to your personal style
Sometimes I wonder if these editors ever look in the mirror because far too many belong to imaginations that ran amuck. But on the other hand, it’s good to spice your style up and try a new trend. It’s a new year, so reset your fashion button and let’s take a look at some styles that you should try out in 2015.

WEAR RED

Not only is red a bold and daring color, it also symbolizes passion and confidence—just another reason why you should try a monochrome look in this fiery shade.

BELTING OUTERWEAR

This look is beneficial for two reasons: It highlights your curves, which provides a flattering shape, and enables you to show off your accessorizing skills without sacrificing warmth in the wintertime.

BOLD MAXI SKIRTS

Bold maxi skirts are versatile pieces that can easily be dressed up or down. Look for rich colors and loud patterns that contrast the skirt’s long and flowing shape.

LUMBERJACK PLAID

As popular as plaid is, most girls tend to stay away from lumberjack plaid. But we suggest embracing the bold red-and-black print, which instantly gives your outfit a cozy, seasonally appropriate vibe and can be paired with just about anything.

HEAD-TO-TOE LEATHER

Sure, you run the risk of looking like Catwoman, but that doesn’t sound so bad, does it? An all-over leather look is alluring, form-fitting, and bold—a look that every fashion girl should try at least once.

ENVELOPE SKIRTS

Envelope skirts might not be the biggest fashion risk, but if you’re stuck to your favorite skirt silhouettes (pencil, A-line, and the like) and haven’t tried this flattering style yet, you should!

LIP PRINTS

If you’re looking to add a little more playfulness to your wardrobe, opt for a unexpectedly stylish lip print.

PINSTRIPES

You may think pinstripes are an ‘80s throwback, but they’re back in a big way now. The skinny stripes are the perfect statement print to wear at the office, or even when you’re out on the town.

WEARING GINGHAM

Fall may have brought us proper plaids, but for spring it’s all about the tiny check. The best part? It has a sexy, swingy vibe—not a touch of Pollyanna in sight.

SPARKLE IN SEQUINS

The return of sequins to the fashion scene is fun and surprising. For the best way to wear it, look to Burberry, which has teamed delicate sparkly skirts with punchy denim jackets. Nautical stripes. for next season there is an abundance of seafaring navy, red and white stripes. You could also try an oversized double-breasted blazer. This top is flattering and works well tucked into trousers or skirts. Pretty pleats. Update Fifties-style full skirts that have dominated for a few seasons with a pleated knee-length or midi skirt. Statement jewels As fabrics and colors simplify, try bold jewellery like this necklace.

Barbara Anne Love says:

Sequins look stylish, but there is a down-side–they have a tendency to shed after each wear, they tend to be rough on sensitive skin, are usually not considered casual-wear, and tend to be pricey!
